Senior Accountant

Job Description
Unity Search has partnered with an Investment Management firm in Dallas that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This opportunity offers exposure to a variety of different investment classes. We have known the hiring manager for years, and she is an excellent coach/mentor. This opportunity offers remote Fridays as well as half day Fridays during the summer and other parts of the year. Compensation will depend on experience and go up to 135k + 15% bonus.
Some of the responsibilities are:
- Month & quarter-end close for a number of portfolio companies
- Work with the Controller of Real Estate to provide necessary support for generation and review of fund-level financial statements and completion of audit
- GAAP & IFRS reporting
- Report on key financial metrics, including liquidity, leverage, and covenant compliance
- Journal entries, AP oversight, vendor statement reconciliations, GL reconciliations
- Assist other accounting groups with one-off projects and other responsibilities as requested by management
Some requirements are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of experience
- Exposure within an industry role to fund accounting or management company accounting
- Public accounting foundation strongly preferred
- Process-improvement oriented, someone who looks for the “why” behind their work to discover a better “how”
- Ability to multi-task and work in a number of different areas
