Job Description
A pioneer that is globally recognized for an award-winning product that helped revolutionize the way people work in office & at home based in the Coppell area has partnered with Unity Search for a Senior Accountant to oversee a new business line of several commercial properties. This is an add-to-staff position that will have full ownership of the accounting for the portfolio of commercial properties. Senior leadership at the company is highly involved and imparts an employee-centric culture that’s focused on growing people professionally & personally. This position will have overlapping responsibilities with Finance and have visibility with Senior Leadership within the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounting for three commercial properties
- Own journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and problem-solving for properties
- Standardize, document, and communicate processes to financial teams, operation teams, and property managers
- Review & improve processes & lead implementation of process changes/improvements
- Assists with monthly and year end close as well as audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university… Required
- 1.5-2+ Years Experience within a public accounting firm (Audit/Assurance) OR 3+ years of experience within a property accounting-based position
