A highly successful Alternative Asset Manager based in Dallas has partnered with Unity Search to look for a Senior Accountant. This is an add to staff due to growth! The company has over $15 Billion in Assets under Management currently. With beautiful offices in the Knox/Henderson area, the Senior Accountant will come in and support the Manager of Financial Reporting with External Reporting, Investor Relations, as well as handling some Treasury duties as well! This position will have exposure to work with an amazing CFO, Controller, and other Senior Leaders within the company – with the expectation to be promoted within 1.5 – 2 years after joining!

Primary Responsibilities:

Own writing footnotes for financial reporting.
Prepare & analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Work cross-functionally with other teams to gather relevant financial data and ensure completion of reporting requirements.
Research & interpret: regulatory guidelines, accounting standards, and financial reporting frameworks (GAAP, IFRS).
Assist with the audit process, coordinating with external auditors to provide necessary documentation.
Stay updated on any and all changes to accounting standards & regulatory changes by proactively recommending process improvements of the external reporting process & procedures.
Participate in special projects (mergers & acquisitions, or other corporate transactions) assisting with due diligence, financial analysis, and integrations.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Controller.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university… Required.
1-2 Years Experience within a public accounting firm (Audit/Assurance) OR 1-2 Years Experience within a Financial Reporting Role.
